Jesus was born in Boston, Massachusetts, and raised in Portland, a small town outside of Corpus Christi, Texas. Growing up, he worked at his parent’s restaurant, having a developed a strong work ethic from an early age. Jesus is a first-generation American, and the first person in his family to not only graduate High School, but College and Law School as well.
Jesus graduated Cum Laude from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, where he double-majored in philosophy and political science. His early aspiration to become an attorney honed his academic focus, a goal that stemmed from a childhood conversation with his mother, who ironically opposed his decision to pursue law. However, her opposition only fueled his determination. Following his undergraduate studies, Jesus attended Baylor Law School, graduating in 2017.
After completing his legal education at Baylor, Jesus initially practiced law in Waco before realizing that it wasn’t the right place for him. He relocated to Austin, Texas, where he began working for the largest personal injury firms in Texas. Jesus honed his skills over the years but grew dissatisfied with the settlement-mill environment, where clients and employees were reduced to mere numbers. This prompted him to briefly explore commercial litigation, where he quickly discovered that defending corporate giants wasn’t fulfilling for him.
Ultimately, Jesus found his way to Rodriguez Law Firm, where he joined as a personal injury attorney. Combining his litigation background with his desire to develop cases from beginning to end, Jesus thrives in his role, where he can connect with clients on a personal level while fighting for their rights. Jesus brings a unique perspective and diverse cultural understanding to our firm.
